At the moment, the Author experience only works on Windows devices. This is a Unity based application that is safe to install on your device.

Your browser and computer will warn you before installing this program. This is expected as .exe files from unknown source can be a serious risk. Future versions will be released as an MSI installer with an Extended Validation code signing certificate. The current method is an informal and early stage method of sharing the application.
